Why High-Ticket Offers are Better for Coaches and Consultants

High-ticket offers or programs are the best way for coaches and consultants to become a 7-figure business owner. If you’re tired of the grind of low-ticket sales because you are stuck billing by the hour and selling small packages or struggling to sell a course, then understanding the high-ticket coaching or consultant model will help you.

Why? Because it takes a lot of effort to grow your business using low-ticket sales. It is more profitable, much easier to grow and faster to scale a 7-figure business with high-ticket offers. I’ve helped my clients go from struggling to monetize a course to selling $75,000+ consulting packages. My other clients, who were charging $1500 for their coaching, changed their pricing to 10-20x more for the same program length.

These coaches and consultants came to me when they were tired of the struggle and ready to attract high-paying clients. There are so many coaches who get stuck because they follow the internet marketing gurus who teach a complex business model. They were taught that to be successful, you needed to start out with a low-ticket program, priced at $497 or less before you could offer something 4x that amount. Only then could they push a 5-figure program.

Other coaches didn’t find success after exiting their corporate job because they didn’t know what to charge for their new coaching and consulting services. They didn’t know how to put their offers together so they could charge higher rates.

Both types of clients came to me when they finally had enough and were ready to do a 180 for their business. They realized that climbing from the low-ticket offer is an uphill battle and that the high-ticket model was much more aligned with the impact and the income they desire.

So here are the 4 major benefits for embracing a high-ticket model for your coaching and consulting business:

Your High-Ticket Coaching and Consulting Offers Attract Better Clients

Woman excited to be working with her coach and achieving the success she desires by taking action.

With high-ticket programs, you attract clients who see your value and are ready to invest in the mentorship they need to transform their situation. These are people who aren’t interested in a course. They want your expertise and your direct guidance in reaching their success. This means they have more money to invest and are serious about the commitment that they’ll make.

When you create high-ticket offers to qualify your leads, you attract better clients who are willing to show up and do the work to get the results that they desire.

I’ve experienced this growth repeatedly in my own business. Once my clients hired me to transition into this model, they began to see the result. When you’re under-charging and under-valuing what you offer, you aren’t attracting the best people. These are the people who will find it difficult to commit to doing the work needed to be successful.

When you’re selling high-ticket offers, you automatically attract a higher-caliber client. They are not only easier to work with, but they are going to step up and take action on what you teach them. This is very essential to get the results they desire.

One of my clients, who is a business coach, was struggling to get her clients to take action in her $5,000 program. Once she hired me, we shifted her into high-ticket offers and she began to book qualified clients who were showing up and her business is more profitable than ever.

We created a next-level program and repositioned her to go after a higher caliber market. She then sold her packages for $25,000+ and her new clients started taking action and getting big wins through her programs. The reason was they had more “skin in the game” and they were serious about getting results.

It is proven that high-ticket offers do attract better clients.

You Make Multiple Five and Even Six Figures with Every Coaching and Consulting Deal

Making more money without sacrificing time is a big draw of the high-ticket model especially for those who want to grow a 7-figure business but still have a balanced work and personal life. The high-ticket model allows you to scale much faster therefore you will be able to reach your goals and more. You will be able to make five to six figures per client with high-ticket coaching and consulting programs, especially with my specialization in the ultra-high-end space. This could range from a $25,000 package to a $150,000 package or more.

High-ticket model coaching or consulting focuses on massive transformations. People are willing to pay a premium to have their most painful and urgent problem solved. This is where you come in to help and you will be able to charge a higher priceing for your expertise.

With a low-ticket model, it’s hard to hit your goals because you constantly need more sales to fulfill your financial goal. On the other hand, the high-ticket model means you will be able to make multiple five or even six figure sales with less time in selling. This is huge for your bottom line.

When you have a repeatable and sustainable high-ticket model, it is a much faster path to grow a 7-figure business and scale.

My client, Chuck is a healthcare consultant who was only making about $50,000 a year in his side hustle consulting gig. He hired me because he wanted to take his side hustle to his full-time gig and replace his corporate salary. We put together a six-figure package and he started selling them within four months of working with me.

In fact, in just 7 months of working together, he grew his company from $50,000 to half a million dollar business. Would that be possible with a low ticket model? It would have been nearly impossible because he would have to have a ton of sales. The high-ticket model is truly the path to choose if you desire to become a 7-figure paid coach or consultant.

Make a Bigger Impact As a High-End Coach or Consultant

Man understanding the impact he is having on others with his high-ticket offers through his consulting business.

How do you make a bigger impact with the high-ticket model? Unlike the low-ticket strategy, which means selling courses with an 85% attrition rate or only 15% of people completing them, high-ticket services increase participation. Most people who buy courses watch a couple of training sessions and then give up. It is more common than not for people to have courses that are collecting dust on their desktop.

But why does this happen so often? The client who purchased the course may have more questions and since they don’t get answers by the creator of the course, they won’t take more time to research. They can also feel confused by the course and with no accountability sessions, there to keep them on track. No matter the reason, if your desire is to make a big impact in the world, use your gifts as a coach or consultant, and really help a lot of people, then using a high-ticket model to scale to 7-figures is essential for your success.

With a high-ticket model, you can work deeply with each client and help them understand their problems and solve them together. You can provide coaching, mentorship, training, accountability, and the support they need to reach their goals. Tthat is not possible with a plain course and instructional model.

Transformation is not just gaining information, it’s what your client is able to do with that information.

Having someone in your corner who can guide you on your path of success is the key to reaching your goals quicker and with much less mistakes along the way.

The same is true for your clients. If you want to make the impact you have dreamed about, then go deeper with your clients. This means you can charge a premium for your involvement and guidance.

It is a Simpler Model to Scale

Man understanding that the simplicity of his business is what is now creating his success with high-ticket programs.

Many coaches and consultants come to me and are seriously under-charging. Not a lot of people understand that this decision keeps them capped at a certain income level for years. They may have a complex business model that affects their impact and income.

“With focus and simplicity you can move mountains,” is the quote from Steve Jobs. This quote transformed the way I thought about my own business. With a high ticket model, it can be both simple and focused while also wildly profitable.

A high-ticket model is much simpler to scale for several reasons. For example,

  • When you use a high-ticket model, you are keeping things simple by not having to create a ton of courses, upsells, automations, and tons of funnels.
  • You can have a simple marketing machine that you can build and scale. With courses, things are going to get complicated fast with things such as cart abandon, campaigns, etc. If you’re not a digital marketer, things can spin out of control.
  • From a simplicity standpoint, the high-ticket model trumps low-ticket especially in scaling a business to 7 figures within a shorter period of time.

My client Michelle came to me when she was stuck bouncing between $250k and $300k per year. Her business was stuck because its offers she had too many offers, too much complexity, and she was undercharging. What she needed was Next Level mentorship, to have someone dive deep into her business and help her fix what was broken and realign it for her to scale. I helped her do just that and we were able to 4x her revenue in a year. She finally hit that 7-figure mark and now she’s having back-to-back 7-figure years.

Using a high-ticket model really allows you to make more per sale.

If you’re going to scale a business, you are going to need cash flow.

You’ll need to have systems in place such as marketing, sales, client delivery, operations, and a team. All of this requires cash to fund. With the high-ticket model, you are getting those large injections of cash. This allows you to onboard the talent into your team to help build out your systems. It’s going to give you the money you need to grow your business and scale faster. This is the key to becoming a 7-figure paid coach or consultant.
